The startup of the joint venture of SIBUR-Holding and the Belgian polyvinyl chloride concern will be a new incentive for development of advanced polymer processing in Nizhny Novgorod Region. The raw material project is associated with cluster production and integration in the process of the regional scientific complex.
The Project for creation of a PVC-cluster in Dzerzhinsk, which is being mentioned together with the construction of a new PVC plant, is considered to be a strategic goal. As RusVinyl CEO Jean-Louis Plumecocq reports, about 90% of PVC, to be produced by the new plant with a capacity of 300 kilotons of PVC a year, will be supplied to the Russian market. And it would be logic to install a network of enterprises for processing this polymer near the feedstock.

SIBUR and SolVin found a joint venture for construction of Russia’s first world-scale, fully integrated vinyls plant in Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod region.
As of today, the progress of civil works related to construction of the PVC Production Complex of RusVinyl LLC in Kstovo district of the Nizhny Novgorod region stands at 66%.
The influental "Project Finance Magazine" (Great Britain) declared the RusVinyl LLC project financing to be the Deal of the Year in the category «European Petrochemical Deal of the Year 2011».
Following the Board of Directors’ decision Guenther Nadolny, former Deputy General Director, takes up the post of General Director of RusVinyl LLC starting from the 1st of December 2011.
